Handmade from vintage photographs, Photosynthesis is a series of collages created from 2013–2023 that dissects nostalgia and rearranges fragments of the familiar to construct uncanny alternate realities.

Moments from paper time-capsules of the past are interwoven in droll juxtapositions that resonate with harmonic dissonance, probing how absurdity can simultaneously amuse, mystify, and enlighten.

These collages conceal and reveal in a paradoxical striptease, as camouflaged layers of ephemera expose a glimpse of the timeless truths revealed through illusion.
